188F Generator Ignition Switch 6 Wire

A purpose-built ignition key switch for 2.5–6.5 kW gasoline generators using the widely deployed 188F engine platform. Measuring 4.2 cm in diameter and 4.5 cm tall, and weighing only 72 g, it balances compactness with structural integrity. The switch features six clearly arranged wire terminals supporting full ignition functionality: battery input, starter solenoid activation, magneto grounding for engine kill, and optional lighting or accessory outputs. Built for durability in demanding conditions, it maintains consistent contact resistance and rotational smoothness over thousands of cycles. Ideal for restoring safe, repeatable starting on older or heavily used generators where original switches have degraded due to arcing, oxidation, or mechanical fatigue.
