FOR ELV/ESL Steering Lock Emulator Features: MK2751 compatible with E90, E91, E92, E93, E60, E61, E63, E64, Mini R55, R56. Emulates ELV (Steering Lock Module). After connecting the emulator, it is easy plug and play with no coding required. It becomes active without the need for extra hardware or installation. It can perform various operations such as locking and unlocking by accessing the CAS ELV module. ELV is a mechanical failure that commonly occurs in the steering column lock. In case of malfunction, even if the vehicle key is working properly, the engine may not start because the ELV steering column lock fails to activate. In such cases, replacing and programming a new ELV steering column lock is typically required, which can be costly and time-consuming. This electronic steering lock emulator helps resolve steering lock malfunction errors. The universal ELV/ESL steering lock emulator bypasses the faulty ELV module. No coding is required—simply connect the device to fix ESL failure issues. Note: In some cases, it may be necessary to clear airbag system error codes, memory, and counters using a diagnostic tool. Installation must be performed by a qualified mechanic, and trouble codes must be reset using a specialized tool. In most cases, this emulator will resolve the issue as long as the ELV has been diagnosed as faulty. It is designed to emulate a fully functional steering lock.
