Display can be mounted anywhere Installation: Locate the red 4-pole male Diagnostic Connector (DLC), usually near the ECU box, it may have a removable cap and may be partially covered by black tape. Steps: You need to configure this module after installation. Only do setup when the engine is warm so that the idle speed is normal, find a long, straight road with light traffic. The unit doesn't learn the same hardware twice, making it easier to set up on the road. If necessary, you can even move forward and pause during setup. Don't stare at the display, watch the road and drive with extreme caution, as always! Turn on the ignition. It will count backwards (6 to 1), which means the memory is clear. When "l" is flashing, keep the engine in neutral and allow the engine to idle. When "1" flashes, select two-position. Release the clutch and look normally. The display flashes faster while the device learns to run. When display shows ''n'' (next), select two-position. Repeat this process until all gears have been thought through. In top gear, wait until 'o' (end) is indicated and the display stops flashing. The device is now programmed and should indicate all gears correctly. When the ignition is turned on, it will flash forward (1 to 6) to indicate that it is programmed and fully functional. Rest: If some gears are not indicated correctly, please reset your device and set it again. If you change the transmission (install a new front or rear sprocket) or install a speedometer (or other speedometer calibrator), you will probably need to reset and re-set it. Cut off the power to the device 6 times in a row while it displays and shows 3,4 or 5. You can turn the display on/off by turning the ignition key on/off. In the next power up, it will display counting backwards (6 to 1). The memory is now clear and you can complete the setup procedure.
