This device is designed to interface with the vehicle's emission control system. It allows for diagnostic and testing purposes in compliance with regulatory standards. The emulator connects to the vehicle's AdBlue system and can be used to simulate sensor signals during maintenance or troubleshooting. It does not permanently alter or disable any factory-installed emissions components. The installation process involves connecting the emulator to the designated port near the AdBlue pump, located under the metal cover on the right side behind the cab. The original pump connector is disconnected and routed through the emulator. Fuses must be removed during setup: F894 (Multisensor in AdBlue tank), F738 (+30 Signal of AdBlue pump), and F1084 (NOx sensor upstream). Fuse F737 becomes the power source for the emulator. Fuse F1109 supports the downstream NOx sensor and muffler temperature sensor, which must remain operational for proper DPF regeneration. To disconnect power from the downstream NOx sensor, users may either cut pin 1 on the NOx sensor plug or remove pin 10 from the X3212 TE plug (16-pin with yellow key), located on the rear right side of the engine.
