When the engine is off, the instrument displays the accumulated total hours. Installation method: 1. Wrap the included pickup wire around the spark plug wire five times. Start wrapping the pickup wire approximately 4cm from the end of the spark plug sleeve. Use the included zipper to secure the pickup wire wrap, as shown in the picture on the right. 2. Before proceeding with installation, insert the pickup wire into the back of the instrument to start the motor and make sure the instrument is receiving the ignition signal. If so, the LCD will display RPM while the engine is running. When the engine is off, the instrument displays the total hours accumulated. You must wait at least 6 minutes for the timer to increment the timer display (1/10 hour). If it's not picking up the ignition signal, slide the pickup wrap closer to the spark plug bushing. 3. If the gauge successfully picks up the spark signal, run one of the throttle cables and tie off the pickup. Make sure the pickup wires cannot contact the engine. Also, make sure to leave enough slack (approximately 8 cm) so that the spark plug wire can be removed. Keep in mind the approximate location of the final mounting location on the frame spare. Fixing method - Use a 2.5mm socket to drill into the frame and secure it to the frame with two pickup screws. - Use padded double-sided tape on the back of the gauge and secure it to the frame rail with zip ties. 0
