Install four AA batteries and press the power button to turn on the device. 2. Press the mode button to select measurement type: grain moisture content or probe location temperature. By default, the device starts in moisture measurement mode. 3. To measure grain moisture: - Ensure the display shows moisture mode ("XL.%") - Press the select button to choose grain type (1: Wheat, 2: Rice, 3: Rice, 4: Corn) - Insert the probe into the grain sample - The display will show the moisture content of the sample - Press the hold button to activate maximum hold mode (display shows "MAX"); in this mode, the reading updates only when a higher value is detected - Press the hold button again to exit hold mode - The hold button can also be used for read hold function (symbol appears when active) 4. To measure temperature: - Select temperature mode (display shows "1 -") - The device will show the approximate temperature at the probe location - Press the unit button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit (default is Celsius) 5.
