These magnesium anode rods attract corrosive elements in the water, protecting the tank from corrosion and prolonging its service life. When the anode rod becomes depleted or fully corroded, the water heater tank may begin to rust, crack, fail, and leak. This magnesium anode rod measures 4.5 inches (115mm) in length, 0.5 inch (13mm) in diameter, with 1/2-inch threads, and is designed to fit Atwood water heaters. Use with: Atwood water heaters.
