It's back Years ago we sold a power source that ran from a single AAA battery-- it was one of our most popular power sources, but there were functional limitations that made it less than ideal when operating. After much design and testing, we're happy to announce the new and improved version When you need a moderate amount of power but you don't have a lot of space, this is a great solution. A single Lithium AAA battery can power six Pico LED lights for four hours, or you can use a size 10440 rechargeable LiPo battery (see below for recommendations) to get up to 10x the runtime.A great use of this compact power source is inside the rear of the LEGO Ideas Ecto-1. Using our light and sound kit for the Ecto-1 and the DemonFire rechargeable batteries recommended below, you can power your Ecto-1 for up to one hour of continuous use.The power source is compact, with the battery snapping into clips on the bottom side of the circuit board and the on/off switch, power indicator light, and two output plugs mounted on the top side.Why two different size power output connectors? You can use the large plug with the included 12" (30.4cm) connecting cable to power Brickstuff lights or controllers, and you can use the small Pico-sized plug to power lights made by many of our competitors. How's that for flexibility?NOTE: You will obtain much longer run-times using the 10440 LiPo battery, because these cells have a voltage closer to 5 volts, which is the voltage used by Brickstuff and competitors’ lighting products.Brickstuff does not sell 10440 LiPo batteries, but you can search online for “10440 LiPo” to find retailers near you that sell these batteries.
