Probiotic Plus is a gentle formula containing 7 strains of live bacteria which reflect the natural mix of gut flora in a healthy digestive system. Live bacteria help to encourage a balanced microbiome which is known to be important for many aspects of health including gut immunity, digestive health, bowel regulity and skin health. Because Probiotic Plus is so gentle, it's ideal for those with sensitive digestive tracts and is easy to take alongside or sprinkled onto food.
Probiotic Plus is one of our longest-standing live bacteria formulas and combines 7 well-researched strains of live bacteria with amylase and cellulase, enzymes needed for the breakdown of carbohydrates and cellulose from plants. Probiotic Plus also contains beta-galactosidase, which is an enzyme needed for the breakdown of lactose, and is known to be lacking in those who are lactose-intolerant.
Ideal as a sugar-free alternative to yogurts and yoghurt drinks, Probiotic Plus can be taken as part of a healthy lifestyle, alongside antibiotics or during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and is suitable for children age 1 year and up. May help to optimise digestion, support gut immunity, regular bowel movements, and skin health.
Dosage:
1-2 probiotic plus capsules daily, or as directed.
To be taken daily, as part of your supplement regime.
Children aged 1-2: 1 capsule daily
Children aged 2 onwards and adults:1-2 capsules daily
Can a probiotic plus capsule be opened and sprinkled onto food?
Yes, onto food no hotter than room temperature.
Are there any side effects from taking probiotics?
You may experience a change in bowel function/habits for a few days which may present as a gurgling/wind/change in bowel frequency. This is perfectly natural with taking any probiotic and will generally settle down after a week or so. Reducing the dosage may help alleviate this.
